A butterfly isolation valve uses a rotating disc mounted on a central shaft. Turning the shaft rotates the disc 90°, allowing or blocking flow. The design provides quick operation, low weight, and compact installation.
Advantages of butterfly valves...
• Quick quarter‑turn operation
• Compact and lightweight
• Low pressure drop
• Cost‑effective for large sizes
