How do pilot operated valves work?
A pilot operated safety valve uses a small, pressure‑sensing pilot valve to control the opening and closing of the main valve. This allows precise set‑pressure control, tight sealing, and reliable over‑pressure protection in high‑pressure systems.
Advantages of pilot operated valves...
• Accurate set‑pressure control
• Tight seal at normal pressure
• Suitable for very high pressures
• Minimises leakage and blowdown
